Project Chef is helmed by our Director, Chef Xu Tianmu, whose culinary journey began from a young age with a deep passion for the culinary arts. Over the years, he has honed his craft in renowned hotels and worked under acclaimed MasterChef Sam Leong, where he served as Assistant Chef and gained invaluable experience in fine dining and kitchen leadership.
Today, Chef Xu leads Project Chef Consultancy, where he lends his expertise to a wide range of F&B concepts — from cafés and food kiosks to bars, restaurants, and central kitchens. He is also a Registered Management Consultant (RMC–10199), guiding businesses in both creative and operational excellence.
Chef Xu’s distinguished career includes serving as Culinary Instructor at Temasek Polytechnic and Chef de Cuisine at ToTT Store, where he inspired aspiring chefs and developed innovative dining experiences. His talent has been recognised through multiple gold and silver medals at Food & Hotel Asia competitions, as well as being awarded 2nd runner-up in Mediacorp’s Star Chef competition.
An active member of the Singapore Chefs’ Association, Chef Xu currently serves on the Special Projects Subcommittee, and previously contributed to the Singapore Junior Chefs Club Competition Committee. He has also led and coached teams to victory, including Food & Hotel Indonesia 2011 and the Culinary & Catering Management (CCM) team, which clinched the championship at the 2011 Young Chef Game (Norwegian Seafood & Unilever).
Driven by a lifelong passion, Chef Xu Tianmu continues to share his belief that good food should be both delicious and nourishing — a gift to be enjoyed by everyone.
