Project Chef is helmed by our Consulting Chef, Xu Tianmu. Since his early life, he had discovered his passion for the culinary arts. Having worked in various Hotels and assumed the position of Assistant Chef for MasterChef – Sam Leong, he had accumulated many years of experience in culinary arts at a young age.
He is currently actively involved in Project Chef as Director/Consulting Chef and he is holding the position of Chef Consultant for various popular – cafe, food kisok, bar, restaurant, central kitchen. Chef Tianmu is a Registered Management Consultant (RMC – 10199).
Chef Xu was the Culinary Instructor at Temasek Polytechnic and the Chef de Cuisine at ToTT Store previously. His achievement includes winning various gold and silver medals in Food Hotel Asia competitions over the last few years and came in 2nd runner-up in Star Chef culinary competition organised by Mediacorp.
He is currently the sub committee – special project of Singapore Chef Association and also previously the competition committee of Singapore Junior Chefs Club. He has leading his team in winning Food Hotel Indonesia 2011 and coaching the Culinary & Catering Management (CCM) team to win the championship at the 2011 Young Chef Game (Norwegian Seafood & Unilever).
Chef Tianmu strives to share the gift of good tasting and nutritious food for everyone.
Xiaoyan is highly-driven and motivated, graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science in NTU. Early in her teens, she has already started supporting her family’s F&B business for over a decade where she developed an in-depth knowledge in F&B business and operations.
She led a business operations team in a start-up company in the business of remittance and subsequently joined an IT Firm which she involved in the project management handling projects accumulating above multi-million in value. With the experience in business operations accumulated over the years spanning across different industries, it has equipped her with critical thinking and keen business acumen needed to succeed.
Currently, she is actively managing the business operations of Project Chef and working closely with like-minded entrepreneurs to scale Project Chef towards greater heights.
Having started his career in the industry at Four Play Kitchen Bar, Sim Lam facilitated in the day to day operations as a cook. After a year of learning, he moved on to Bar Room to take up more responsibilities to further his exposure in a different kitchen setting. At Bar Room he was given a more senior and hands-on role in ensuring daily operations run smoothly whilst understanding the importance of cost management.
His pursuit in continuous growth he joined Eagle Wings Loft to further hone his culinary skills, with a more refined set of menus. He experienced a steep learning curve and thus equipped himself with a wide repertoire of skillsets from Western, Italian, Chinese, and Fusion cuisines.
Sim Lam is our Chef, his commitment and passion in the industry have empowered him to share his expertise and help our client to consistently improve quality and standard of food.
Nurul graduated with a Nitec in Asian Culinary Arts and she continues to pursue her academic qualifications by obtaining a Diploma in Restaurant & Culinary Operations.
Her academic background puts her in good stead in the industry where she secured an internship at Marina Bay Sands Singapore. With her excellent performance she was offered a full-time position at Commis 2. Her willingness to learn served as a motivation for her to participate in the FHA Gourmet Team Challenge in 2018, where she clinched a silver medal for a stellar performance.
She has also proactively sought to render her culinary assistance in charitable and commercial events i.e F1, Barclays International Singapore Event, Mamada’s Culinary Team during Malay Heritage Charity Event. Been actively involved in different culinary events, has broadened her horizon in the F&B industry.
Nurul joined Project Chef as a Project Executive where she continues her exploration of her culinary skill while offering her culinary knowledge to our clients that belies her young age.
